How long does the palm thatch last for?

The Palm thatch has a 1 year warranty but it depends on the location and elements to deterime the lifetime, if you store it inside during the winter months it will last a lot longer.

Should I cover the thatch with a tarp?

Do not cover the palm thatch with a tarp for the winter or rainy months as it cannot breath and will cause molding.
